Short N’ Stout was born when five local police officers wanted to have their friend Chad Spicer, who was killed in the line of duty on September 1, 2009, remembered. Chad loved his job and took it very seriously. But, his police work was not who he was. Chad was a son, brother, father, and friend to many. In his short time on this earth he touched many people.
On February 26, 2015, friends gathered at Mispillion River Brewing to celebrate his life and honor all the fallen police officers before and after him. In three hours, the community raised $8000 for the Officer in Distress Fund.
